Dark Ages of Camelot - Races and Classes

*Each *of the three realms (Albion, Hibernia and Midgard) have six playable character races available for players to use with 18 races in all to play, though some classes are restricted and don't have access to certain classes. Dark Age of Camelot offers players a grand total of 44 classes to choose from across all three realms. With this many classes and races available there is just so much to try, for each class has its pros and cons, with different skills and abilities for each.

Listed below are the races for each realm that you are able to play. Some races, however, are restricted to certain expansions. Each race has their own unique starting stats and restrictions. For instance, an Midgard Valkyn can't be a Seer, and the Troll can't be a Rogue. They also have restrictions on what primary class they can advance to. An example would be a Dwarf can be a Seer, but only advance to a Runemaster, whereas a Kobold can become any of the four primary classes under Seer; Runemaster, Spiritmaster, Bonedancer or a Warlock. These restrictions are listed when you are creating your character, so be sure to look them all over before deciding.

Albion- Briton, Saracen, Avalonian, Highlander, Inconnu, Half Ogre

Hiberina- Celt, Lurikeen, Firbolg, Elf, Sylvan, Shar

Midgard- Kobold, Dwarf, Norse, Troll, Valkyn, Frostalf

These are the starter classes. They are the basic class for your character until you reach level 5. Then you can advance to your initial class. There are many primary classes, but I won't be listing them in this review.

Albion Starter Class: Rogue, Fighter, Mages, Elementalist, Acolyte, Disciple

Hibernia Starter Classes: Guardians, Stalkers, Naturalists, Magician, Forester

Midgard Starter Classes: Viking, Rogue, Seer, Mystic

DaoC has had a grand total of six expansions, with more in the works. Each expansion grants further access to the realms of Albion, Hibernia and Midgard, offering a vast amount of new content to the already great content. They've also updated their graphics engines and the world looks even more beautiful and alive than before. When you first enter the game you chose a realm, either Midgard, Albion or Hibernia. Each realm has their own unique classes, as stated before, and vast beautiful landscapes that have new content added to them all the time. The three realms can wage war against the monsters and creatures wreaking havoc in the lands or against each other for realm points and relics in the Frontiers, that grant additional strength and stats to the realms that possess them. Some servers even allow you to play all three realms, though traditional servers restrict players to one.
